Paula Popenhagen

Paula is a facilitator and qualified coach with a passion for helping people make the most of their situation – whatever that may look like. She has a strength for building relationships and being able to comfortably communicate with people, especially when they are feeling challenged or confronted.

Paula studied Occupational Therapy and has worked in both physical health and Youth Mental Health & Addictions. She then took her enthusiasm for developing people and combined it with her love of outdoors and adventure - working for three years as an Instructor at Outward Bound NZ. “The chance to get to know people and having the privilege to work with them when they were vulnerable or outside of their comfort zone was a really special space to facilitate in. Outward Bound also gave me really good insights into the way that teams work/don’t work – especially under pressure, or when there are different skill levels involved.”

With a commitment to making current research relevant and applicable to everyone, Paula is skilled at using stories, activity and experience to aid her facilitation. “I love helping people get to a better understanding of what they can control in their situations and more awareness into the impact of their own thoughts and actions.”
